Soaring energy prices and concern about climate change from human-made emissions of carbon dioxide have propelled energy efficiency to the top of the agenda in the boardroom, in public debate and in public policy. This portal provides an overview of the challenges, how governments are tackling them and the ABB solutions already at hand. We also will provide energy efficiency stories and tips from South Africa.
ABB South Africa is committed to energy efficiency in its workplace and factories. We are corporate members of the National Business Initiative (NBI) National Energy Efficiency Accord and we adhere to ABB Group energy efficiency targets. ABB signed the Global Compact in South Africa in 2008 to be part of a host of companies that are monitoring and reducing their carbon emmisions to stem global climate warning.
