ABB South Africa has supported the Energy Efficiency and carbon management category of the Greening the Future Awards run by the Mail & Guardian weekly newspaper for the second year.
The winner of the Energy Efficiency and Carbon category, sponsored by ABB South Africa, for 2010 was the Durban Greening 2010 initiative.
This category attracted the most entrants as well as a record number and was fiercely contested.
The “environmental journalist of the year” award for 2011, sponsored by ABB, was introduced at the awards function held in Johannesburg. This award aims to encourage green writing and reward grassroots journalism about the environment and the small story that makes a big difference.
