ABB signs frame agreement with Ethekwini municipality in South Africa

2011-11-23 - HV Substation equipment to provide more reliable energy supply

ABB has signed a three year frame agreement contract from Ethekwini Municipality Electricity Department, based in Kwa-Zulu Natal province, for the supply, delivery, installation and testing of outdoor 132kV and 275kV switchgear and associated equipment.

ABB will supply, for the next three years, outdoor yard equipment for new substations as well as the extension and refurbishment of existing ones. Some of the equipment that will be supplied include primary and secondary switchgear and PASS units.
